1.  What is a "resource community?"

The idea behind the "resource community" is a place where Christians can come together to share ideas and knowledge with one another. The various areas of this website are offered to the Bible student to use in their pursuit of the truth.

2.    What is “Sound Words?”

Sound Words is a publication that has been published in periodical format for almost 20 years.  For that entire time it has been edited by Oran Rhodes.  There is more information about Sound Words on the "About Us" page.

3.    Where can I find the paper on the web site?

The “Sound Words” button takes you to the part of the site dedicated to the paper.  You can find the most current issue there.

4.    Where can I find old issues of Sound Words?

The ”Sound Words” button takes you to the section of the site dedicated to the paper.  Once there if you click on the “Archives” button, you will see back issues offered on the site.

5.    What if I want a particular article?

Also on the Sound Words section there is a button labeled “Index”.  You can look at categories of topics that have been covered by writers over the years in the paper.  There are indexes based on topic, author, and by issue.

6.    What is the forum?

The forum is an online gathering place where Christians can come together to discuss the Bible, politics or even just hobbies and the latest movie they have seen.  We view this option as a chance for brethren from all over the world to be able to gather and have fellowship in the discussion that takes place there.

7.  Do I need to be a preacher to participate in the forum?

No.  We welcome everyone and do not put any restrictions on who can be a member.  Everyone's knowledge and understanding of the scriptures will be taken with equal  respect and ideas will be tested to see whether or not they are in accordance with the scriptures regardless of who presented them.

8.    What resources are offered here?

We try to continue to bring as many things that could help a Bible student to this website.  There are sections dedicated to articles, audio (sermons and lectures), charts (to help Bible class teachers), as well as outlines and other various things on the welcome page of the resources section.  There is also the forum, which will allow people to ask questions of brethren from around the country. Lastly, on the links page there are a series of links that will direct individuals to places where Bible study helps and resources can be accessed online.  Our aim is to gather as much as possible from the web into one place so we can all study together as a “community.”

9.    Who is the owner of this site?

The site is funded by Sound Words.

10.      What do I need to do to get Sound Words?

Every new issue of Sound Words will be up on this site as it is released, but if would like to be added to the mailing list as well, please contact Oran Rhodes at ORhodes@soundwordsonline.com.

11.   Who do I contact about the site?

If there is anything that you want to bring to our attention or comments that you would like to make, you can click the “contact us” button to send an e-mail directly to the administrators or you can send one to:  admin@soundwordsonline.com.

12.    Can I submit materials for publication on this site?

We welcome any materials, but we reserve the right not to publish everything that is sent to us.  Any material that you might feel would be useful for other Christians to use and read, please send an email to the administrators through the “Contact Us” button.

13.    Are the materials on this site copyrighted?

No, however the material is presented with the understanding that due credit will be given to the authors.  All articles and charts should always be presented with the author’s name each time they are reprinted.  The idea of publishing these articles is mainly so people can read them and use them, not to further any individual’s “name” in the brotherhood.  It is just appropriate and right to give credit to the work the author did to create the article or chart.

  14. How do I contribute to the work of Sound Words?

If you would like to support the work being done by Sound Words, please contact Oran Rhodes at ORhodes@soundwordsonline.com.
